A second organization we visited on Friday was Remnant. A recently started non-profit screen printing company employing Congolese women. These women were often married to Ugandan soldiers while they were in the Republic of Congo, bore their children, and then returned with them to Uganda only to find out they already had Ugandan wives. With no place in society and no way to support themselves, this organization is offering a hope for these women and their children teaching them screen printing and paying them a living wage.
