"Since then you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above not on earthy things." Colossians 3:1-2

Bengali Pictures

We took a walk this afternoon into the village that borders the backside of the hospital compound.  We entered through our back gate into a lush green field with cows grazing, women digging in a mud pit and children playing soccer.  It didn’t take more than a minute or two for our group of 14 white people to become the main attraction.  The children first came up slowly with curiosity, until we started taking their pictures!  There was so much joy in seeing themselves on our digital cameras, that we soon had a group of 50 or so that followed us down the road and back.  Several children tried to have their picture taken as many times as possible.  Allison was a little hesitant with the crowds, and half-dressed (or a few fully naked) children.  Ethan enjoyed trying to make conversation with a few of the boys and hopes to bring back a soccer ball to play with them in the next couple of days.  Wyatt was intent on finding a new friend, and as we left the village he had made up a handshake with one little boy and asked if he could wear his same shirt when we went back so that his friend could recognize him.
